PRAYAGRAJ, July 18 -- Governor and chairperson of the Allahabad Museum Committee Anandiben Patel on Friday inaugurated the Sumitranandan Pant Literary Gallery at the Allahabad Museum, a dedicated space highlighting the rich legacy of Hindi literature and its eminent literary figures. On her arrival, the governor paid floral tributes to the statue of revolutionary martyr Chandrashekhar Azad on the museum premises. After inaugurating the gallery, she was taken on a guided tour by officials, including the divisional commissioner and the museum director. SHe closely examined exhibits related to eminent Hindi litterateurs and discussed the linguistic distinctions between Khari Boli and Awadhi. She viewed poet Sumitranandan Pant's Jnanpith Award, mementos and the statue of Vagdevi (Goddess Saraswati) associated with him. She also saw the historic pen and attire of Pandit Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala' and reviewed a chapter from his work Aradhana. Stressing the need to preserve literary heritage for future generations, she directed that the entire gallery be digitized to ensure wider public access. The gallery showcases the contributions of eminent Hindi literary figures through rare manuscripts, personal correspondence and literary artefacts, tracing the evolution of Hindi poetry, journalism, novels and short stories....
