Lucknow, Oct. 3 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the tenure of the chairperson and two vice-chairpersons of the State Women's Commission by one year. In a notification issued on October 1, the governor approved the extension under the powers conferred by Section 3, Sub-section (2), Clause (k) of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission Act, 2004 (as amended). The extended term will take effect from date the current tenure of incumbents concludes and will remain in force for a further period of one year. Officials whose terms were extended are Babita Chauhan, who continues as chairperson, Aparna Yadav and Charu Chaudhary as vice-chairpersons. htc...
