Lucknow, March 17 -- In a key administrative move under the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959 (UP Act No. 2 of 1959), the Governor has officially appointed a new set of corporators to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC). The appointments were made under Section 6(1)(b) of the Act, which empowers the Uttar Pradesh government to nominate members to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
