Gonda, Mahoba 400 kV sub-stns energised; 12 more likely by Mar 26
LUCKNOW, March 1 -- Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL) is steadily strengthening the state's power transmission network to ensure a robust, reliable and modern system, a government spokesman said here on Saturday.
"At present, the corporation operates two 765 kV, 29 400 kV, 172 220 kV and 488 132 kV substations, playing a crucial role in meeting UP's growing electricity demand.
"In the financial year 2025-26, 11 transmission substations have already been successfully energised. Ahead of Holi, two key 400 kV substations at Gonda and Mahoba were also energised. Their commissioning is expected to ensure 24x7 uninterrupted, stable and quality power supply for industries as well as domestic consumers in the regions," he said.
With more substations scheduled to be energised in the coming weeks, the state's power supply system is set to improve significantly, especially ahead of the summer peak.
By March 26, 12 additional substations are likely to be energised, leading to a substantial increase in transmission capacity.
UPPTCL said it is closely monitoring projects to complete them within timelines, while maintaining high technical and quality standards.htc...
