GORAKHPUR, July 12 -- After a controversial poster on the Ram temple donation issue was put at Shastri Chowk in Gorakhpur late on Friday night, police removed it following strong objections from local residents who said it was provocative and insensitive. The poster was allegedly put up by Samajwadi Party workers.Nimish Dashrath Patil, superintendent of police (City), said that an inquiry has been initiated into the incident and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the law for violations related to the public display of objectionable material.
