Lucknow, Sept. 7 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati on Sunday claimed that the Cockroach Janta Party's Gen-Z movement has been hijacked by various political parties. In a post on X, she said that her party has always had complete sympathy for the essential demands of Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha. She directed all BSP state units to meet the relevant officials in their respective states to peacefully resolve these issues. In accordance with BSP discipline, party members shall not engage in sit-ins, protests, or street movements, Mayawati said. Instead, they should preserve their energy and resources for upcoming elections to form a government committed to sarvajan hitaya va sarvajan sukhaya (welfare and happiness for all), she added. "There are numerous such examples in the country, due to which people are feeling that the CJP's Gen-Z movement, addressing the burning issues of the country's youth, unemployed, and others, has been hijacked by various political parties, and as a result, the grand dreams that were shown to the youth and students during the Jantar Mantar movement have now become more political than independent, entangled in serious doubts," she said. She added that achieving power is essential to realising Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's vision and offering permanent solutions to the problems faced by Gen-Z, Gen-Alpha and the entire society, as was demonstrated by four BSP governments in Uttar Pradesh in the past.htc...
