GORAKHPUR, Aug. 20 -- Launching a sharp attack on the BJP government over its policies, Samajwadi Party MLA Ragini Sonkar on Wednesday said the younger generation had emerged as a powerful political force and asserted, "Gen Z has already made the government bow, now it is Gen Alpha's turn."Sonkar made the remarks while distributing prizes at a wrestling championship organised in memory of Reshma Yadav, mother of SP leader Manmohan Yadav, on her death anniversary. Talking to a section of the media, Sonkar said the younger generation will play an increasingly important role in shaping Uttar Pradesh's political landscape ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. She said growing dissatisfaction among young people could become a significant factor in the elections.
