LUCKNOW, Aug. 18 -- Thick smoke filled the Food Processing Directorate building in Hazratganj on Monday morning after a fire broke out there amid rain, prompting firefighters to rush two fire tenders to the spot and launch a search operation to ensure no one was trapped inside. Chief fire officer (CFO) Ankush Mittal said, "On reaching the building, firefighters found it filled with smoke. Teams simultaneously began firefighting and smoke-extraction operations."Firefighters searched the building to check for trapped persons amid heavy smoke.
