PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 6 -- : The Karchhana police in Prayagraj have cracked a series of submersible pump theft cases and arrested four members of a gang allegedly involved in the crimes. Among those apprehended is a juvenile, while one accused remains absconding. Police teams are conducting raids at various locations to trace and arrest the remaining suspect.The arrested accused have been identified as Salman alias Badka of Baraon, Vijay alias Chhota of Madhu Ka Pura, Dhirendra Bhartiya, and a juvenile. All were produced before the court and subsequently sent to jail. Police have also registered a case against Anshu Singh who is currently absconding. According to police, a submersible pump installed outside the residence of one Deepak Patel in Rokri village was stolen on the night of July 27. A case was registered on the victim's complaint and an investigation was launched. The matter gained urgency after another submersible pump was stolen the following day from the temple premises of MP Ujjwal Raman Singh in Baraon village....
