Lucknow, April 2 -- The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) of Uttar Pradesh has ordered the immediate suspension of 10 charitable blood centres across the state after routine inspections revealed significant irregularities. The inspections were part of a wider crackdown on charitable trusts and societies operating blood centres in multiple districts. A team of drug inspectors, deployed by FSDA headquarters for inter-district inspections, conducted thorough checks at 54 blood centres across 18 districts, including Agra, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Amroha, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, Badaun, Gonda, Hathras, Jalaun, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli, Sitapur, Unnao, and Shahjahanpur.
