LUCKNOW, April 2 -- Panic gripped the Lucknow district court on Wednesday after a bomb threat email was received, prompting an immediate security alert and a massive search operation across the premises. Similar threats were reported from some other courts too in the state. Police, along with the bomb disposal squad and other security agencies, carried out a thorough check of the Lucknow court complex. Senior officers, including ACP Chowk Raj Kumar Singh and Wazirganj inspector Rajesh Tripathi, supervised the operation. Parking areas, courtrooms and adjoining premises were scanned, but no suspicious object or explosive material was found during the search. Officials said security has been tightened as a precaution, with enhanced surveillance across the court campus.
