Four drown in Yamuna at Agra's Balkeshwar Ghat
Agra, May 13 -- Four people, including three teenagers, drowned while bathing in the Yamuna at Balkeshwar Ghat in Agra on Tuesday after attending a birthday function in the city's Kamla Nagar locality. According to police, six people had gone to the river for a bath when they were swept away by deep waters. While two of them were rescued, four lost their lives. DCP City, Syed Ali Abbas, said the incident was reported around 12.30 pm on Tuesday after the group reached Balkeshwar Ghat. "A police team rushed to the spot and found that the group, comprising both youths and adults, had come to Agra for a birthday celebration on Monday and went to the Yamuna on Tuesday for bathing when they drowned," the DCP said. Police initially rescued five members of the group. However, Kanha, 22, Mahak, 19, and Ria, 17, succumbed during treatment. Kajal, 17, and Anshu, 13, survived the incident. And Vicky, 13, remained missing. SHO Pawan Kumar Saini confirmed that the body of the teenager was recovered....
