Foreigners now deciding India's foreign policy: Akhilesh Yadav
LUCKNOW, March 9 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over reports that the United States had given India a one-month grace period to continue buying oil from Russia.
Addressing media persons after attending an event in Jankipuram, the Kannauj MP said, "For the first time, foreigners are deciding our foreign policy. The BJP has replaced our traditional foreign policy of non-alignment with a foreign policy of bloc relativity. It seems the government is running a mortgage guarantee scheme and decisions are being made under that umbrella. The central government is looking to others for everything and acting as dictated by others. No one can imagine how much the BJP has weakened such a large country."
"Now, the BJP government is even afraid of Sanatani people. The government which once called itself Sanatani is now afraid of the most revered Shankaracharya. The BJP government has insulted Shankaracharya. The BJP is defaming Sanatan Dharma," he added.
Akhilesh also alleged that the BJP has ruined the entire system. "Today, inflation and corruption are at their peak. Every section of society is suffering. Inflation will be controlled only when the BJP is removed," the SP chief said....
