Dehradun, June 5 -- Dehradun police have arrested an alleged cocaine supplier from Delhi and claimed to have uncovered a wider drug trafficking network targeting partygoers and students in educational institutions across multiple states, officials said on Thursday. The arrest was made as part of the police's ongoing anti-narcotics campaign under "Operation Prahar". Police said the accused, identified as John alias Joseph alias Moris alias "ND Brother" (30), a native of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), was arrested from Delhi's Malviya Nagar following the interrogation of an alleged drug peddler arrested in Dehradun earlier this week. On June 3, Rajpur police arrested Javed Alam (37), a resident of Deoband in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district, with 11.77 grams of cocaine near an old shrine on Johri Road. An FIR was registered under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. During questioning, Javed allegedly told police that he supplied cocaine at parties and to college students in Dehradun and sourced the contraband from John, who was operating from Delhi....
