Lucknow, Aug. 28 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday asked officers to immediately resolve issues pending at various levels regarding land acquisition, tendering and departmental coordination. He also told them to regularly review projects where the implementation is progressing below the expected pace and fix accountability. Yogi was reviewing the progress of major ongoing development projects and public welfare schemes at a meeting of the State Transformation Commission here. "The state government's priority is not limited to announcing and approving projects, but also to bringing every project on the ground within the stipulated timeline and ensuring that its actual benefits reach the people." He said better connectivity has an important role in Uttar Pradesh's development journey. He was informed that the tender for the Chitrakoot Link Expressway was published on August 6 and the selection process for the developer would be completed in September. He said out of 1,339.04 hectares of land required for the Farrukhabad Link Expressway, 1,222.25 hectares, or 91.28%, has been acquired. He said land acquisition has been completed for 80.43% of the Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, 84.82% of the Jhansi Link Expressway and 79.27% of the Jewar Link Expressway. Verification work has been completed and the process of land acquisition is now to be taken forward with regard to the planning of the Meerut-Haridwar, Vindhya and Vindhya Purvanchal Spur Expressways, he said. He also reviewed the progress of the Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Greater Noida and the Aqua Business Project in Unnao. Reviewing fire safety arrangements in health institutions, hospitals and hotels and guest houses, he said, "Negligence at any level in matters related to public safety cannot be tolerated." He asked officials to prepare an effective digital database related to Fire NOCs and initiate the renewal process before the validity of an NOC expires. Reviewing the situation of electrical and OFC cables passing through sewer lines and manholes in Lucknow, he said complete attention should be paid to safety standards in infrastructure related to civic amenities and wherever cables are passing through sewer lines or manholes, they should be shifted according to prescribed standards and the work should be expedited. He also directed that NOCs must be obtained from the local body for such works. Reviewing digital libraries in gram panchayats, he said they should be developed as centres of study, competitive examination preparation and digital knowledge for rural students....
