Five of family killed, 4 others injured in Agra road accident
Agra, March 21 -- Five members of a family were killed and four others were injured when the car they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree on Thursday night within the limits of Chitrahat police station in Agra district, said Abhishek Agarwal, deputy commissioner of police for Agra East Rural.
The DCP said prima facie it appeared that the person driving the car fell asleep and lost control over the vehicle which rammed into a roadside tree near village Pai in Agra district. Those in the car were returning after a pilgrimage to the Kaila Devi temple in Karoli district of Rajasthan.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Kamta Prasad (70), his son Devendra (35), daughter-in-law Seema (32), and his 3-year-old granddaughter, Aradhya, and maternal grandson Rishi (20).
The bodies were sent for post mortem examination and the injured are under treatment, said DCP rural. The was badly damaged as it went uncontrolled off the road and rammed into a tree.
The accident took place on Bah-Kachora Ghat road. The family members and relatives of Kamta Prasad (70), an ex-army man, were travelling in two cars when one of the cars met with an accident 200 meters away from Chitrahaat police station of Agra district....
