LUCKNOW, May 28 -- At least five people, including two children and an elderly woman, were killed and 14 others injured in two separate road accidents on highways late Tuesday night, police said. In Ayodhya district, two passengers died and nine others were injured after a Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus collided with a stationary trailer truck on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway near Zuberganj market under the Rounahi police station area post midnight on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Sabir (54), a resident of Parewatar in Kushinagar district, and Suresh Kumar (43) of Gomti Nagar in Lucknow. Meanwhile, three members of a family were killed and five others injured after their SUV rammed into a tractor-trolley on the Ganga Expressway near Salon in Rae Bareli around 10:30 pm.
