LUCKNOW, Sept. 23 -- Five people, including a roadways bus driver and conductor, were injured after the bus travelling from Lucknow to Fatehpur allegedly went out of control and reportedly rammed into a truck in Mohanlalganj on Tuesday, police said. According to a police statement, the accident took place around 11am in front of the Bank of Baroda branch in Mohanlalganj. Driver of the bus Hariom (34) stated that the bus had departed from Alambagh for Fatehpur around 10:20 AM. As it reached the vicinity of the UPL factory in the Mohanlalganj police station area, the steering suddenly failed. At that moment, the bus collided with a truck moving ahead of it. All five were taken to the community health centre in Mohanlalganj for treatment. The driver and another person were subsequently referred to Lok Bandhu Hospital for further treatment, police said.
