Fervour marks ParshuramJayanti in Sarojini Nagar
LUCKNOW, April 20 -- Parshuram Jayanti was celebrated with festive fervour in Sarojini Nagar on Sunday. On the occasion, BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh also extended greetings for Akshaya Tritiya. Paying homage to Lord Parshuram, Singh said he symbolises penance, sacrifice and valour and that his life continues to inspire society.
He emphasised social unity and preservation of cultural traditions. Appreciating the organisation of the event, the MLA announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to enhance the scale of such programmes. Singh said from the next year onwards, the event will be celebrated as Parshuram Mahotsav. He said Lord Parshuram's life teaches that victory is achieved not merely through physical strength but through knowledge, discipline and wisdom. "Through his life's episodes, people are encouraged to adopt duty, compassion and integrity as the foundation of life," he added.
Singh highlighted the importance of devotion, stressing that deceit and falsehood ultimately lead to defeat, while truth and sincerity pave the way for success. He urged people to place nation, society and dharma above all and to stand firmly against injustice and unrighteousness.
The BJP legislator said continuous efforts are underway to preserve and promote Sanatan culture.
