Lucknow, Aug. 25 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reviewed follow-up action after the Japan delegation's recent visit to Uttar Pradesh and directed officials to put land acquisition for the proposed Japanese City project under YEIDA on the fast track. Adityanath was chairing a meeting with Invest UP and other departments. Officials said out of 500 acres required for the Japanese City project, acquisition of more than 350 acres has been completed. Officials also gave the CM a detailed briefing about all MoUs signed with the Japanese delegation. The proposed Japanese City is planned in Sector 5A, Greater Noida as a dedicated industrial township for Japanese companies. The chief minister reiterated a Yamanashi Japan Desk should be created separately in Invest UP to ensure continuous dialogue with Japan. He also directed that a progress report be taken every three months. He directed that delegations from Uttar Pradesh should be sent to various global events scheduled in Japan in September, October and December. These delegations should include ministers, public representatives, officials, industrialists and subject experts.
