Prayagraj, June 22 -- The body of a 50-year-old man was found under suspicious circumstances in a field in Chaparo village under Koraon police station limits on Sunday morning. The discovery led to protests by family members, who alleged that he had been murdered due to an old dispute. The deceased was identified as Suresh Dharkar, a resident of the village. Villagers found his body lying in a field about 500 metres from his house and informed others. Family members alleged that some villagers had killed Suresh due to longstanding enmity and demanded immediate action. As tensions rose, they staged a protest and sought the arrest of those responsible. Senior police officials, including Meja ACP SP Upadhyay, Koraon SHO Satyendra Kumar and Khiri SHO Krishna Mohan Singh, reached the village.
