LUCKNOW, Sept. 29 -- Divya Mittal, a 2013 batch IAS officer of UP cadre who resigned from service on August 30, will announce her new innings on Tuesday. Speculation surrounds Mittal's next move in the power corridor as well as among the public. In a post on X, Mittal wrote: "What should I do next? The kids are young. Now home. A good package will come. Back abroad. Wrote a book on IAS. Coaching. The ticket must be confirmed. Politics." The central government's department of personnel and training (DoPT) accepted her resignation on September 14. Mittal, who was serving as special secretary in the Uttar Pradesh government's revenue department, announced her resignation from the IAS on her X handle, stating she may have given up her position but would not give up the dream that brought her back to India. "After working day and night at IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore, I landed a job in London. But even after having everything, something felt incomplete. I felt unfulfilled. I didn't belong in my own country. My education, self-confidence, and the strength to walk with my head held high anywhere in the world -all owed me a debt to this land. "I had to repay that debt. I wanted my handprints on the bricks that built the India I dreamed of. So I returned, and was fortunate to become an IAS officer," she stated....
