Ensure swift resolution of public grievances: Yogi to officials
GORAKHPUR, Oct. 22 -- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed officials to ensure speedy, impartial and satisfactory resolution of public grievances, stressing that no one should face injustice. He heard the grievances of around 200 people during a Janata Darshan programme at Gorakhnath temple and instructed officials to address their complaints promptly.
Emphasising accountability and public welfare, Adityanath directed officials to treat every complainant with sensitivity and ensure that their problems were resolved without unnecessary delay. "Resolving people's problems and bringing happiness and prosperity into their lives is the government's commitment. In keeping with this commitment, officials must ensure that every aggrieved person is treated sensitively and their problems are resolved," he said.
The chief minister issued strict instructions against illegal land occupation and forcible eviction of vulnerable people. He said those found involved in such acts must not be spared and should face stringent legal action.
However, in cases involving land and property disputes among family members, officials should facilitate dialogue between the parties to help them reach an amicable settlement, he said. Adityanath also directed police and revenue officials to handle complaints transparently and impartially, ensuring that every victim received appropriate assistance and no one was subjected to injustice.
He further instructed officials to identify people who had been deprived of government welfare schemes for various reasons and ensure that all eligible beneficiaries received the benefits due to them.
Several people approached the chief minister seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. Adityanath assured them that the government would extend all possible help.
He directed officials to prepare medical cost estimates without delay and forward them to the government for further action.
The chief minister also enquired whether the applicants possessed Ayushman cards. He instructed officials to facilitate the issuance of cards to eligible beneficiaries who did not have them, enabling them to access healthcare benefits under the scheme.
Women who attended the programme with their children also interacted with the chief minister. He encouraged the children to study diligently and distributed chocolates among them.
