VARANASI, April 17 -- Eco-friendly electric golf cart services will operate from Rajnarayan Park and Maidagin to Gate No. 4 of the Baba Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The service will be launched on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. It will run daily from 3 am to 11 pm, stated municipal commissioner Himanshu Nagpal. Initially, around 25 golf carts will be deployed, with the number likely to be increased later. Passengers will have to pay a nominal fee to use the service. The initiative aims to enhance commuter convenience while promoting environmental sustainability. Nagpal further stated that two types of carts will be deployed-one with a seating capacity of six passengers and another that can accommodate nine.
