LUCKNOW, May 21 -- Doctors at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences have successfully carried out a complex pancreatic cancer surgery through laparoscopic technique on a 32-year-old patient from Azamgarh. Hari Ram Yadav, a JCB operator, had been suffering from severe abdominal pain and jaundice for nearly two months. Despite treatment at several hospitals, his condition did not improve. In April, he developed persistent fever and internal bleeding, including vomiting blood and rectal bleeding, after which he approached the institute for treatment. Doctors said investigations revealed cancer in the head of the pancreas. "The surgery was challenging because pancreatic cancer operations are among most complex abdominal procedures.
