LUCKNOW, March 31 -- Marking World Bipolar Day on March 30, the department of psychiatry at Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) organised an awareness programme on Monday. The event focused on early diagnosis, proper treatment and social support for people affected by bipolar disorder. Prof AQ Jilani, head of the department, said bipolar disorder affects around 1-2% of the population and usually begins in adolescence or early adulthood.
