DM shuffles six officers following protocol lapse
PRAYAGRAJ, July 20 -- District magistrate (DM) Manish Kumar Verma has transferred six administrative officers, including one official whose reassignment followed a protocol lapse during the recent visit of state higher education minister Yogendra Upadhyay.
The incident occurred on July 15, when the minister arrived in the city to attend the Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University convocation ceremony, which was chaired by governor Anandiben Patel. Upon reaching the Circuit House, the minister found no administrative officer present to receive him. Although the minister initially left the venue, he later returned following intervention by senior administrative officials and the university's vice-chancellor. Following the incident, the DM issued transfer orders for six officers on July 18. The reassignments are as follows: Hiralal Saini- transferred from ACM (III) to SDM, Phulpur; Nandini Shah- appointed to Handia; Ajit Pratap Singh- appointed to Meja; Thakur Prasad- transferred from ACM II to SDM, Koraon; Sandeep Tiwari-moved from SDM, Koraon to Karchhana; and Surendra Yadav-transferred from SDM, Handia to ACM II....
