DEHRADUN, June 8 -- The distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme of electoral rolls will begin across Uttarakhand on Monday, with election authorities appealing to voters to cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the month-long exercise. BVRC Purushottam, chief electoral officer (CEO), Uttarakhand, said, "Enumeration forms have already been supplied to all 11,733 BLOs deployed across the state. Under the campaign, every registered voter will be provided with an enumeration form, which will subsequently be digitised through the BLO App".
The exercise will continue until July 7, during which BLOs will conduct door-to-door visits and collect completed forms from voters. The CEO urged voters to keep their latest passport-size photographs ready and submit them along with the enumeration forms when BLOs visit their residences.
He clarified that during the door-to-door campaign, scheduled from June 8 to July 7, no documents other than the enumeration form will be collected. Officials said that if a voter is unavailable during a BLO's visit, the officer will make up to three attempts to contact the individual. A sticker with the date of the next visit and the BLO's mobile number will be placed....
