Diploma Engineers' Federation Urges 8th Pay Commission to Restore OPS
LUCKNOW, June 24 -- A delegation of the All India Federation of Diploma Engineers met officials of the 8th Pay Commission on Tuesday and submitted suggestions on pay, allowances, career progression and retirement benefits.
The federation strongly advocated for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), said its national president N.D. Dwivedi after the meeting.
Representing over four lakh diploma engineers working in various state and central government departments, the federation also submitted recommendations on salaries, leave, advances, bonuses, cadre management and other service-related matters.
The delegation comprised N.D. Dwivedi, former national general secretary S.S. Dubey and Uttar Pradesh Diploma Engineers Federation provincial president H.N. Mishra.According to federation spokesperson Manoj Srivastava, the suggestions also covered house construction and vehicle advances, leave categories, LTC, group insurance, ex-gratia payments, GPF and compassionate appointments....
