Lucknow, Sept. 3 -- The 11th Digital Banking Leadership Summit and Awards 2026 was held in Lucknow on Wednesday, bringing together senior banking officials, fintech professionals and government representatives to discuss the changing digital banking landscape. The discussions focused on artificial intelligence, cyber security, financial inclusion, digital payments and customer-centric banking. Speakers highlighted the need for banks to strengthen technology adoption while ensuring digital services remain secure and accessible. The event was attended by UP industries minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and minister of state for parliamentary affairs and industrial development Jaswant Singh Saini. Senior officials from the RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, Invest UP and public sector banks also participated. IIF UP State Council president and executive director RK Sharan said digital transformation was no longer limited to introducing online banking services, but was reshaping the way banks operate and engage with customers. The Digital Banking Leadership Awards recognised banking and business leaders. Canara Bank MD and CEO Brajesh Kumar Singh and Punjab National Bank MD and CEO Ashok Chandra received the Chairman Award. SBI chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty was given the President Award. SBI, Bank of Baroda and Bank of India were recognised as Banks of the Year, while UCO Bank received the Non-Lead Bank of the Year award for the third consecutive year....
