BAHRAICH, May 18 -- Tension prevailed across the Golwa Ghat locality on Sunday afternoon after a man sustained a gunshot injury during a violent clash allegedly linked to an old dispute. The daylight firing incident created panic among local residents and prompted a swift police response. According to police officials, the Police Response Vehicle (PRV) received information around 1pm regarding firing in the area. Local police teams rushed to the spot and found a youth, identified as Utkarsh Singh 30, injured with a bullet wound in his right leg. He was immediately taken to the District Hospital for treatment. CO ND Mishra said after receiving preliminary medical aid, the injured youth informed police that he had reached Golwa Ghat along with his companions when the four accused-identified as Ankit Singh, Alok Singh, Raghvendra Singh and another - arrived there in a car. An argument between the two sides soon turned violent, during which the accused allegedly opened fire and injured Utkarsh Singh.
