Day after Holi, police personnel soak in colour
VARANASI, March 6 -- A day after Holi, police personnel, who were on duty on Wednesday, celebrated the festival of colours collectively on Thursday.
District magistrate Satyendra Kumar and commissioner of police applied gulal to one another and exchanged Holi greetings.
The police lines was filled with excitement from the morning. Personnel greeted each other with gulal (colourful powder) and wished them a happy Holi, conveying the message of mutual brotherhood.
Some cops were seen dancing to light music, while others were seen sitting in groups and sharing sweets.
Due to security duties, many police personnel were away from their families on Holi, making this event of special significance for them.
Commissioner Mohit Agarwal also participated in the event. He greeted all personnel with gulal and praised their dedication.
He said that festivals teach us the message of mutual harmony, love, and unity.
The police force not only plays a leading role in maintaining law and order but also plays a vital role in strengthening communal harmony in society.
The CP said that festivals like Holi provide an opportunity to reduce tensions and strengthen mutual relations. He praised all cops for maintaining law and order in the district during the Holi festival.
The commissioner said that Holi is a festival symbolising love, brotherhood and social harmony, which gives the message of strengthening mutual harmony and unity in the society.
He appealed to all personnel to work with discipline and dedication and send a positive message to society.
