LUCKNOW, April 8 -- In an unusual twist to a routine road accident, two empty cylinders rather than the collision itself became the centre of attention in a Mohanlalganj incident that was later resolved amicably, police said on Tuesday. "The accident occurred around 12:30 pm on April 7 near Maurawan crossing, involving an e-rickshaw and another vehicle. The e-rickshaw, driven by Mohit Yadav, was carrying cylinders at the time," said police. Complainant Mohan Yadav alleged that two cylinders were taken away by the occupants of the other vehicle after the crash. During the inquiry, the other party said their vehicle had sustained scratches and they had sought compensation for the damage. Police said a heated argument followed, and in a moment of anger, two empty cylinders were taken, turning a minor accident into an unusual dispute. "The individuals involved, Vineet Shukla and Abhay Dubey of Prayagraj, later reached the police station, where both sides agreed that the incident occurred in the heat of the moment and involved fault on both sides. They chose not to pursue legal action," said SHO Mohanlalganj BK Tripathi. Police also clarified that claims of "loot" circulating on social media were not substantiated and that the situation remains peaceful....
