PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 26 -- CP Upadhyay and Santosh Kumar Mishra were elected president and honorary secretary, respectively, of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA) on Friday. Upadhyay defeated his nearest rival, PC Srivastava, by a margin of 74 votes to secure the presidency. For the secretary's post, Mishra defeated his nearest rival, Rai Saheb Yadav, by 283 votes. According to chief returning officer and senior advocate SFA Naqvi, polling was held on September 17, and the results were declared Friday following four days of continuous counting.
