couple among 3 killed as minibus hits motorcycle
Bharatpur/Karauli, Sept. 3 -- Three people of a family, including a couple, were killed after a minibus rammed their motorcycle in Rajasthan's Karauli district on Wednesday, police said.
According to police, the accident occurred on Dubbi Road under the Balaghat police station limits while the three were travelling to Padli village to meet relatives. Police said that they were rushed to Mahavirji Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
The deceased were identified as Bhagwat Koli, 60, and his wife Bhagwani Koli, 55, residents of Kishorpura village, and their relative Narayan Koli, 28, a resident of Khera village, police said.
Following the accident, villagers and the victims' relatives placed the bodies on the road and blocked traffic, demanding the arrest of the minibus driver, who had fled the scene.
Senior police officers reached the spot and persuaded the protesters to end the blockade, police said. Balaghat station house officer Manju Foujdar said the minibus had been seized and efforts were underway to trace its driver. htc...
