Dehradun, Aug. 25 -- Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) leader Ashutosh Negi has been booked for allegedly referring to chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as "Nepali", police said on Monday. The FIR was registered sections 196(1), 352 and 353(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on August 20. The complainant was Rajesh Singh Raja Koli, a member of the Uttarakhand Scheduled Castes Commission. Koli also alleged that Negi had repeatedly made such remarks through his social media accounts. SHO Pauri Garhwal police station Jaipal Singh Negi said, "We have registered the FIR against the accused and our investigation into the matter is underway."...
