GORAKHPUR, May 13 -- A convoy-led welcome rally outside District Jail Gorakhpur for an accused released on bail has led to fresh legal action. Police arrested eight alleged gang members for attempting to spread fear and disturb public order through viral social media content. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the jail premises. Videos of the celebrations, allegedly uploaded on social media on May 10 with provocative dialogues and visuals, went viral, prompting police to initiate an investigation.
