Jaipur, July 29 -- The state police is set to launch the pilot version of a digital database of known criminals with the help of artificial intelligence, officers aware of the matter said on Monday. The project will initially be launched as a pilot at the Police Headquarters on August 1, said officials. "After evaluating the pilot, we plan to expand the system to all districts across the state," ADG (Crime) Bipin Pandey said. The database will contain detailed information on each criminal, including fingerprints, photographs, criminal history, modus operandi, areas of operation, gang affiliations, associates, relatives, and other relevant details. The initiative will be managed through district-level Modus Operandi Bureau (MOB) branches. Details of every new crime reported, as well as any police or legal action across districts will be incorporated into the system, along with key pieces of evidence collected during a probe.As part of the project, every district MOB branch will undergo a technological upgrade, said officials aware of the details of the initiative....
