Lucknow, May 3 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday issued instructions to expedite expressways, industrial parks, logistics hubs and urban projects in mission mode and remove procedural bottlenecks on priority. Reviewing the progress of major infrastructure projects at a State Transformation Commission meeting, the chief minister said the foundation stone of Bharat Electronics Limited's (BEL) unit at the Chitrakoot node of the Defence Corridor will be laid soon. Before this, the financial tender process for the Chitrakoot Link Expressway should be completed, he added. While reviewing land acquisition for the Chitrakoot Link, Farrukhabad Link and Jewar Link Expressways, he sought updated information from the district magistrates concerned. He directed that 90% land availability for these expressways must be ensured by May 31 and where rate revision is necessary, proposals should be sent immediately. The CM's office will review this after 15 days, he said, instructing officials to ensure direct dialogue with landowners. "They should receive fair compensation and additional manpower should be deployed for registry work to expedite the process," he said. The chief minister also directed acceleration of work on the Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link, Jhansi Link and Meerut-Haridwar Expressways. On being informed at the meeting that the Letter of Award has been issued for the construction of a world-class Convention Centre proposed in Lucknow, the chief minister instructed preparation for its foundation stone laying. Calling the Multi-Modal Logistics Hub and Multi-Modal Transport Hub being developed in Greater Noida game-changers for the state's logistics sector, Adityanath said these projects will connect the state to national and global supply chains. Reviewing the Mukhyamantri Model Composite School Yojana, he said this initiative will set new standards of quality education in the state. It was informed that 150 schools are to be built in 75 districts; work has started on 59 schools and the tender process is underway for 67 schools. Issuing instructions to expedite the remaining projects, the chief minister emphasised prioritizing good locations for schools. To accelerate industrial development, he stressed on implementing the model building bylaws in an investment-friendly manner at the earliest. Emphasising better utilisation of industrial plots, the CM said that industries must be set up on allotted land within the stipulated time frame. "Communicate with investors and proceedings should move forward on time," he said. To promote bio-energy and CBG projects, the chief minister directed adoption of an innovation and competition-based approach. During the meeting, he was informed that work is underway to develop the Seed Park and Textiles Park proposed in Lucknow as major centres of agricultural and industrial development. The process to select a developer is being expedited. Terming the projects extremely important from the perspective of investment and employment generation, he directed to ensure time-bound progress. Reviewing the Mukhyamantri Green Road Infrastructure Development Scheme, the chief minister said this scheme is important for making urban roads modern and smooth. He directed to complete all pending works expeditiously.
