CM to distribute enhancedhonorarium to part-timeinstructors today
Lucknow, May 17 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will formally launch the programme for honouring the part-time instructors and distribute their increased remuneration at a state-level ceremony to be held at Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow on Sunday.
The programme is part of the events that will be held across the state to felicitate 25,000 part-time instructors.
The decision to increase the honorarium for part-time instructors was made in accordance with a government order issued earlier. This enhanced honorarium has been made effective retrospectively from April 1, 2026.
On May 5, the basic education department organised a state-level shiksha mitra felicitation ceremony in Gorakhpur. With a year left until the state assembly polls, the state government announced a big increase in the honorarium of shiksha mitras (para teachers) and anudeshaks (instructors).
The chief minister had announced that shiksha mitras will receive an honorarium of Rs.18,000 while instructors will receive Rs.17,000 per month.
Sandeep Singh, minister of state for basic education (independent charge), described the decision to honour part-time instructors and distribute their enhanced remuneration as a symbol of the state government's commitment.
Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, additional chief secretary, secondary and basic education, instructed all district magistrates to hold grand events simultaneously in every district, parallel to the state-level event presided over by the chief minister.
The district-level events will feature the participation of ministers-in-charge, MPs, MLAs, other public representatives, district magistrates, chief development officers and various district-level officials....
