Dehradun, May 18 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday said that an educ- ated, capable and self-reliant youth force will play a deci- sive role in realising the vision of transforming Uttarakhand into the best state in the country. Addressing the 'Meritorious Student Felicitation Ceremony' organised by a Hindi newspaper in Dehradun, Dhami felicitated meritorious students who excelled in the state board examinations and extended his best wishes for their bright future. Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said students represent the "greatest strength of any society and nation, and the future of both the country and the state depends on their talent, determination and hard work". He said that the state government is working with unwavering commitment to bring continuous improvement in the education sector thr- ough innovation, digital learning and the expansion of quality educational infrastructure. "An educated, capable and self-reliant youth force will play a pivotal role in fulfilling our resolve to make Uttarakhand the leading state of the country," said Dhami. The chief minister lauded the initiative to recognise meritorious students, describing the programme as a commendable step towards motivating young talents across the state.
