Jaipur, June 15 -- The Cockroach Janata Party (JJP) has received permission from the Jaipur police administration to hold its proposed protest on youth-related issues, including examination paper leaks and unemployment, at the Martyrs' Memorial on June 15. The development came after the party was initially denied permission. According to CJP leaders, a lengthy meeting between CJP representatives and senior police officers on Sunday resulted in the administration granting approval for the demonstration. Earlier in the day, an order issued by the office of the deputy commissioner of police (South) stated that permission for the protest could not be granted after examining the application and considering prevailing law and order concerns. Speaking to HT, CJJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the party had sought permission for a peaceful protest and had complied with all required procedures. However, the request was initially rejected by the police. "Perhaps the administration had feared a disturbance, but we assured them that our protest is solely focused on issues affecting youth, including paper leaks, flaws in the education system and unemployment. We have no intention of creating any unrest," Ranka said, adding that CJP expects a large turnout of young people. htc...
