China Southern flight to Kathmandu diverted to Lko
LUCKNOW, July 27 -- A China Southern Airlines flight from China to Kathmandu was diverted to Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport late on Saturday after adverse weather prevented a safe landing in the Nepalese capital, airport officials said on Sunday.
According to aviation sources, China Southern Airlines flight CSN 3067, operated with an Airbus A320neo, landed at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at 10:57 pm (IST) after being diverted due to inclement weather over Kathmandu.
Lucknow airport frequently serves as an alternate destination for international flights bound for Kathmandu during periods of poor weather, an airport official said.
Details regarding the number of passengers on board, the duration of the halt and the flight's onward departure to Kathmandu were awaited at the time of filing this report....
