Centre failed to reduce fuelprices despite global dip: Akhilesh
LUCKNOW, July 8 -- Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party president, on Tuesday accused the Centre of failing to reduce petrol and diesel prices despite a significant decline in global crude oil rates while allegedly favouring corporate interests.
In a post on X, he alleged: "India follows a unique 'corrupt economics' where prices are not determined by demand and supply but by BJP's commission culture." Yadav further alleged that higher corporate profits directly translate into greater gains for the ruling party, forcing ordinary citizens to bear the burden of inflation, expensive fuel, transportation and daily essentials. He also claimed that the BJP's "politics of religion and money has come to an end". The Kannauj MP claimed that as the ruling party has lost popular support, it would now resort to "money politics" to buy votes. The SP chief ended his post with the slogan: "Jo BJP ka saathi, woh Ramghati (Those who are supporting BJP are betraying Lord Ram)."...
