centre approves Rs.2386 crore to upgrade key n.h stretches in raj
Jaipur, Aug. 15 -- The Centre has approved Rs.2,386.08 crore to upgrade two key national highway stretches connecting Sadhuwali-Banwala and Banwala-Hanumangarh to four lanes, officials said, adding that the move was expected to improve connectivity, reduce traffic congestion and boost economic activity in the Sri Ganganagar-Hanumangarh region.
Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari for approving the project. He said the "double-engine government" was continuously working to strengthen Rajasthan's infrastructure and make people's lives easier.
The project involves upgrading National Highway-954 (Sadhuwali-Banwala) and National Highway-54 (Banwala-Hanumangarh) to four lanes.
