CBI court sentences ex-chief yard master to 4 years' imprisonment
Lucknow, March 24 -- A CBI court in Ghaziabad on Monday sentenced a former chief yard master at the Agra Cantt railway station to four years' imprisonment in a bribery case and imposed a Rs 10,000 fine on him.
On July 4, 2015, the CBI registered a case against Rafi Ahmad, the then chief yard master, for demanding a Rs 30,000 bribe from a contractor-who became the complainant-to reduce a penalty for unsatisfactory work.
The CBI caught the accused accepting Rs 5,000 as the first instalment of the bribe from the complainant. After Investigation, the CBI filed the charge sheet against the accused on November 24, 2015....
