BSP to hold district-level conferences ahead of '27 polls
Lucknow, June 15 -- The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has decided to organise workers' conferences across Uttar Pradesh to strengthen its cadre ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
State BSP president Vishwanath Pal said the conferences are being held on the directions of party chief Mayawati. He said the names of assembly constituency in-charges would be announced after approval from the party leadership.
The first conferences will be held in Ayodhya on June 23 and Ambedkar Nagar on June 24 under Pal's chairmanship.
Pal said the party would highlight the work carried out during BSP governments led by Mayawati, including law and order measures, development projects and welfare schemes for farmers, labourers and marginalised communities. He criticised both the Samajwadi Party and BJP governments, claiming the BSP's governance record was superior.
The conferences will seek to mobilise workers and build support for the BSP ahead of the next Assembly elections, he added....
