BJP to launch month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' in Kashi
VARANASI, Sept. 13 -- The BJP's Kashi region unit will launch a month-long public outreach campaign highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life.
The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', to be held from September 17 to October 17, aims to take the message of service, good governance, welfare of the poor and 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) to the booth level.
The campaign's highlight will be a bike rally from Kashi to Vadnagar in Gujarat. The rally will begin in Kashi on September 17, to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, after a ritual offering of water from 10 rivers at the Baba Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It will conclude around 20 days later, on October 7, at Vadnagar, his birthplace, said BJP Kashi region president Ashok Chaurasia.
He directed that the campaign be organised on a large scale across all 16 districts of the Kashi region. Preparations are underway to take the programmes to 71 assembly constituencies, 337 mandals and 31,168 booths.
Chaurasia said the campaign aims to take the faith that citizens and party workers have in the Prime Minister down to the booth level through the 'Aashirwad ka Diya' initiative. Plans are underway to involve party workers, youth, women and beneficiaries of various government schemes across around 31,168 booths in the Kashi region....
