Lucknow, July 26 -- Linking wildlife conservation to women empowerment, Rajeshwar Singh, BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar, launched the official website of `Environment Warriors`www.environmentwarriors.org at the Eco Awareness Centre in Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, on Saturday. DFO Apoorva Dixit, IFS, coordinated the event. On the occasion, Singh flagged off seven electric scooters for as many women forest guards. These zero-emission vehicles will enable women forest staff to conduct silent patrols in remote areas. In addition, 100 raincoats and 100 tactical torches were distributed to make monsoon and night patrolling safer. "Our constant endeavour is that every section of society, be it the common people or the daughters guarding our forest borders, get both respect and facilities.
