LUCKNOW, May 13 -- With assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh less than a year away, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started the verification process of its district, mandal and booth committees and shakti kendras. State office bearers of the BJP, its regional and district presidents and district in-charges turned up at the state party headquarters on Tuesday for an organisational meeting. State BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary and party's state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh presided over the meeting conducted by state general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla. Dharampal Singh said the verification of booth committees is nearing completion. Responsibility in organisational programmes and campaigns should be given to all hardworking and capable workers, he added. He also directed party office-bearers to prepare lists of old and experienced workers at every booth and make them active in organisational events. Efforts should also be made to bring people associated with the organisation's ideology into party work, Singh said. Pankaj Chaudhary said work must be carried out in a planned manner with the goal of ensuring victory at every booth in the 2027 UP assembly polls. He said at booths where the BJP succeeded in previous elections, efforts should be made to further increase the margin of victory, while special effort should be made to turn relatively weaker booths in the BJP's favour. The priority should be to utilise the capacity of every worker at the booth level and work with collective effort, coordination and an effective strategy, Chaudhary added. He said the issueless opposition has neither a policy, nor an action plan or any vision for public welfare. The opposition is only resorting to lies, confusion and creating noise. In such a situation, BJP workers will have to be more vigilant and expose every lie of the opposition by reaching out to every household, he said. Dharampal Singh, while reviewing the verification work, said regular meetings should be ensured every month. He said district committee meetings should be held between the 1st and 15th of every month. Mandal committee meetings should be held regularly in the first week and shakti kendra meetings in the third week of every month. Singh said booth committee meetings will be held in the last week of the month. He said every meeting should be based on the principles of effective implementation of the organisational action plan, coordination, cooperation, and harmony.
